- How to choose the right hero for the right role to win more battles
Arena of Valor is a complex MOBA game that requires constant strategy and planning to win. Having a sound team synergy when going against your opponents is king and can single-handedly win you rounds.
In order to have that perfect setup and synergy however you need the heroes that are powerful and suited for the job.
Having a lineup of heroes that don’t work in the current meta or are too underwhelming against high-end opponents is only calling for a loss.
But you don’t have to be in that situation because coming up next is the tier list of all the heroes in the game. Taking reference from the tier list now you will be more informed next time you choose a hero in Arena of Valor. So, what are we waiting for let’s dive straight into the tier list shall we?
The tier S contains heroes that are the best in the game. These heroes excel in all situations and roles and can single-handedly win you rounds. In short, the Heroes in Tier S+ are overpowered and have little to no counters making them extremely potent.
Tier-S is the consortium of Heroes that are very powerful and extremely viable in the current meta of the game. These are Heroes that you will often encounter in high-level competitive play due to their strong nature.
|Lu Bu||Warrior||Dark Slayer|
Tier-A contains heroes that have solid foundations and excel in their roles. These heroes may not necessarily be the most meta characters in the game but based on their overall strength and capability are perfectly viable for competitive play.
|Voilet Elsu The Joker Skud Taara||Marksman Marksman Marksman Warrior Tank||Abyssal Dragon Abyssal Dragon Abyssal Dragon Dark Slayer Dark Slayer|
Tier B contains heroes that are good in their defined roles and can be an asset to the team. They are not as individually powerful as other heroes in the upper tiers but can hold their own in team situations. When used right you can be quite successful with them.
The Heroes that are included in Tier-C are average at best. These heroes are viable to the extent that these can be said to be useable in the current meta of the game.
There are however better alternatives to the heroes in this tier that you should explore. If you are using any of the heroes in this tier list, then I reckon it is time to expand your character roster to bring in heroes that are included in the upper section of the tier list.
The heroes featured in Tier-D are the bare minimum that you should aim for. They are weak and underwhelming and therefore should be swapped out for better ones as soon as possible if you want to get stronger and progress further in the game.
|Sephera Gildur||Mage Mage||Roamer Mid|
The heroes in Tier-F are outright the worst in the game and should be avoided at all costs. These heroes don’t run well with the current meta of the game and while using them you will find yourself at a severe disadvantage.
|Veera Arthur Tel’Annes||Mage Warrior Marksman||Mid Dark Slayer Abyssal Dragon|
How to Choose the Right Hero for the Right Role?
In Arena of Valor, fights are dictated by the synergy of heroes you have. A well-balanced team with the right heroes that complement each other’s ability will have a greater chance of winning than a team with outright stronger heroes that don’t gel well together.
Therefore, in order to win more in this game, you need to play the right heroes for the right role. Now saying this is easy but implanting this concept in a complex game like Arena of Valor can be a tough ask but don’t you worry I am going to guide you throw it.
Firstly, and most importantly, in order to play the right hero for the right role, you have to evaluate the role you want to play.
Generally, in this game, there are 5 main roles and that being Mid lane, Roam, Dark Slayer, Abyssal Slayer, and Jungler. Based on these 5 roles the game is set up.
Before we begin picking a hero it is important to evaluate yourself on the role that you want to play and the playstyle you want to adopt in that role. Do want to be aggressive and in the opponent’s face at all times or you would rather fancy a defense approach exhausting your opponent’s resources?
These are the questions that you need to ask yourself first and once you have got an answer to these questions then you can move on to picking heroes.
To pick the most optimal hero you need to keep in mind your needs from the character based on the playstyle and role you want to adopt. By keeping these in mind pick the hero that best caters to that playstyle and role approach you are aiming way.
In this way, you will have a hero that you will be comfortable playing and ultimately you will start to see that you will be winning more fights and battles because you know the ins and outs and the proper utilization of that hero.
